Description

Tent heat is essential in the cooler months, and we have just the solution for you. Our heaters are designed specifically for tents, are very safe with no open flames or heating elements inside the tent that can burn you or your guests, and they’ll keep you warm for hours. Rental includes thermostat and diffuser. Propane is also required and rented seperately.

Tent heaters are set up outside of the tent, not inside the tent, and the hot air is then ducted into the tent under a sidewall via the accompanying diffuser. A thermostat is installed inside the tent on one of the tent poles, and will control when the heater goes on or off based on your set temperature. We recommend tent heaters be positioned near the middle of the tent whenever possible for even heating results throughout the tented space. For best results with the thermostat, we recommend heating the tent about an hour before your event so that the sensors on the thermostat have enough time to warm up to the ambient temperature so as to properly control the temperature inside your tent.

  • Smaller tents should select the 80k BTU heater. Larger tents over 1200 sq/ft may require the larger 170k BTU heater, depending on the outside temperature. We’ll help you decide what size you need.
  • Note that rental of 1-2 (depending on amount of heat required) 100 lb. propane tanks and full tent sidewalls are required when renting a tent heater. We’ll help you decide how many propane tanks you’ll need to rent.
  • Tent heaters require access to an electrical outlet to power the blower. Maximum power draw is 5 amps for the 80k BTU heater, and 7.3 amps for the 170k BTU heater. If you do not have access to electrical nearby, we can rent you a gas generator as well.

  • Please note that when set up on grass, the hot air blowing out of the heater diffuser will likely turn your grass brown in that area and possibly kill it completely. If you’re concerned about this, we strongly recommend placing a thin piece of plywood under the diffuser and for a foot or so out from the diffuser to keep the hot air off of your grass.
