When one or more legs of a tent can’t be staked, 55-gallon barrels filled with water are used as ballast to weigh down the tent. Water barrels require an outdoor source of water nearby so that we can fill the barrels. We’ll also need to dump the water from the barrels on site at pickup time. Due to safety considerations, the number of water barrels used to weigh down a tent is up to us to decide.
